protection of the goddess Fina, known
in legend to possess "fateful beauty."

This ring boosts its wearer's HP, stamina,
and max equipment load, but breaks if
ever removed.

Undead Parish / Firelink Shrine

  1. Find Lautrec in the cell above the Parish church. Open it with the Mystery Key or Master Key, or let his release occur as the early game progresses.
  2. He later sits near Anastacia's barred cell below the Firelink bonfire. Killing him at either reachable stage drops the ring.
  3. Collect the drop. If you knocked him off Firelink's ledge, reload and check his sitting position.
  • Killing Lautrec early ends his quest, including the later invasion and armor reward.

Boss, quest or covenant reward

Anor Londo, Lautrec invasion

  1. If Lautrec has killed Anastacia, collect the Black Eye Orb from her cell below Firelink. Keep it until you reach the cathedral hall before Ornstein and Smough.
  2. When the orb quivers, use it to invade Lautrec's world. Defeat Lautrec and return to receive the ring, Humanity and Anastacia's Fire Keeper Soul.
  3. Keep that specific Fire Keeper Soul if you want to restore Anastacia. Do not spend it reinforcing the Estus Flask.

Northern Undead Asylum

Requirements

  • Return to the Asylum and have Xanthous Crown.
  1. Unlock the Undead Parish church lift to Firelink. Ride it upward from Firelink and step onto the ruined ledge above the shrine. Follow the route up the buttress and stairs to the large crow's nest, then curl up and wait for the crow to carry you back to the Asylum.
  2. At the Asylum's cliffside approach, find the small nest where an unseen crow speaks. This is the trading nest, separate from the large crow's transport nest.
  3. Defeat the invading Xanthous King Jeremiah while human in the Painted World. After defeating Priscilla, collect his set near the exit. Offer an unreinforced crown; an upgraded crown is not accepted.
  4. Use Leave to put one Xanthous Crown in the small nest. Quit to the title screen and reload, then pick up Ring of Favor and Protection from the nest.
  • Each accepted offering can be exchanged once per playthrough. Leave one item at a time; Discard destroys it.

Notes

  • Three bonuses: Raises maximum HP, stamina and equipment load by 20% each. The equipment-load bonus stacks multiplicatively with Havel's Ring for an 80% combined increase.
  • Breaks on removal: Unequipping destroys the ring. Moving it out of its occupied slot to make room for another ring costs that copy, even if you planned to put it straight back.
  • Replacement copies: Lautrec and the crow trade are separate ways to obtain a copy in one journey. A broken copy cannot be repaired; you need a replacement.
