In-game description

Blue titanite slab for weapon reinforcement.
Legendary Slabs were the domain of the Gods.
Reinforces magic weapons to +10,
and enchanted weapons to +5.

Legendary Slabs are the heirlooms of a
nameless blacksmith deity, who forged the
weapons of other Gods. Weapons forged with
this slab become rare legendary weapons.

Where to find

Treasure pickup

Crystal Cave

  1. Open the Archives garden exit and descend through the blue Crystal Golems into Crystal Cave.
  2. Follow the crystal platforms and invisible walkways toward Seath. When you drop onto the sloping crystal farther down the cave, turn around to find a short hollow crystal tunnel containing three Crystal Lizards. Follow that tunnel away from the direct boss approach.
  3. Test the invisible side walkway beyond the lizards with Prism Stones or arrows, using falling snow to identify solid footing. It bends right and then left rather than running straight.
  4. Reach the corpse at the far end and collect the blue slab. A Homeward Bone avoids having to retrace the invisible bends.
  • Falling off the invisible path is fatal. Do not run toward the item without testing the route.

Treasure pickup

Royal Wood

  1. Defeat the Darkroot Basin Hydra, reload the area and follow the lake edge to its rear cave. Defeat the Golden Crystal Golem, free Dusk and speak to her. After placing the Lordvessel, kill the blue golem near the Archives entrance lift for the Broken Pendant. Return to Dusk's cave, enter the portal and defeat Sanctuary Guardian to reach Oolacile Sanctuary.
  2. Cross the bridge out of Oolacile Sanctuary into the first broad woodland section. Search the shallow pool among the Scarecrows and Stone Guardians before continuing across the next bridge.
  3. Clear the nearby enemies and inspect the grass at the edge of that pool. Open the partly concealed chest for one Blue Titanite Slab. Artorias does not need to be defeated first.

Repeatable enemy drop

Crystal Cave

  1. From the Archives garden, follow the cave route to the giant Crystal Butterflies perched over the crystals.
  2. Kill these butterflies with ranged attacks from a stable platform. A blue slab is an extremely rare reward and is added directly to the inventory when it drops.
  3. Reset at a bonfire to repeat. The fixed cave pickup and Royal Wood chest are more dependable than this farm.

Notes

  • Final reinforcement: One Blue Titanite Slab finishes Magic +9 to +10 or Enchanted +4 to +5. It is not used for ordinary physical weapons, armor or casting tools.
  • Ember requirements: Rickert needs the Large Magic Ember for the earlier Magic +5 to +6 modification, or the Enchanted Ember to create the Enchanted branch from Magic +5. The slab itself does not unlock either path.
  • DLC alternative: The Royal Wood chest adds a fixed blue slab without requiring the invisible side walkway in Crystal Cave. The two pickups are separate and can both be collected in one journey.
  • Breakdown: Frampt exchanges one blue slab for two Blue Titanite Chunks. Chunks cannot be combined back into a slab.
