In-game description

The serpent is an imperfect dragon and symbol
of the Undead. Its habit of devouring prey
even larger than itself has led to an
association with gluttony.

This silver ring, engraved with the serpent,
rewards its wearer with additional souls
for each kill.

Requirements

  • Bring a Skull Lantern, Sunlight Maggot or Cast Light.
  1. Bring a light source and proceed from the first bonfire near Patches through the dark ledges toward the first fog passage and the Giant Skeleton archer.
  2. Defeat the archer and find the corpse with a Soul of a Brave Warrior behind it. Look below that edge for the lower landing before stepping off.
  3. Drop to the narrow hidden path and follow it into the small clearing. Collect the ring while watching for Bone Towers rising around you.

Notes

  • Soul rewards: Increases souls received from defeated enemies by 20%. It does not enlarge the soul value of consumable soul items.
  • Stacking: Stacks multiplicatively with the Symbol of Avarice: together they award 44% more enemy souls, rather than 40%.
  • Timing: Must be equipped before the soul reward is credited. A boss death animation can leave time to put it on, but waiting until the souls appear is too late.
