Requirements
- Access the Artorias of the Abyss areas.
- Reach the stone approach outside Artorias' arena. Follow the path beside the ravine to the merchant in a tall hat standing near the bridge.
- Kill the living Marvellous Chester and collect his outfit. Defeating his invading phantom in Oolacile Township is a separate encounter and does not award these clothes.
- Killing Chester removes his shop for this journey. Buy anything you need first.
Notes
- Weight and poise: Equips on the head, weighs 2 and provides 0 poise. This piece does not help you withstand hits without staggering.
- Physical protection: Provides 12 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against strike damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
- Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 13 magic, 9 fire, 12 lightning. Magic is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
- Status resistance: Adds 19 bleed, 14 poison and 0 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
- Reinforcement: Reinforce to +5 with Twinkling Titanite. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
- Stealth limits: The outfit does not grant invisibility. Its description's reference to quiet movement does not mean enemies lose sight of a character wearing it.
