part of their formal attire, regardless of

It is soft and well-made, but does not offer
much in the way of defense, making it ill-
suited to use in battle.

Archives prison tower
- After the first Seath encounter sends you to prison, kill the Serpent Soldier outside the bars to obtain the Archive Tower Cell Key. Leave your cell and climb the spiral stairway.
- At the top, climb the ladder to the wooden platform beside the large exit. Follow the boards to the edge and look down at the lower platforms.
- Drop onto the lower shelf that leads into a cell, rather than the nearer ledge directly beneath the edge. Enter the cell and collect the Maiden outfit and White Seance Ring.
- Drop back toward the starting-cell level to return to the prison bonfire.
- Look down before dropping. Missing the shelf can kill you; the armor is in a cell, not at the very bottom among the Pisacas.
Notes
- Weight and poise: Equips on the head, weighs 0.8 and provides 0 poise. This piece does not help you withstand hits without staggering.
- Physical protection: Provides 7 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against strike damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
- Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 8 magic, 5 fire, 6 lightning. Magic is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
- Status resistance: Adds 9 bleed, 7 poison and 3 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
- Reinforcement: Reinforce to +10 using Titanite Shards, Large Titanite Shards, Titanite Chunks and a Titanite Slab. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
- Rhea: The outfit can be collected from its prison cell without killing Rhea or progressing her quest to the Archives.
- Extra ring: The White Seance Ring is a separate item found with the armor. Its attunement effect does not come from wearing the Maiden clothes.
