Eastern land. Designed so as not to hinder
their unique form of martial arts.
While it sacrifices defense for the sake of
greater mobility, it does offer resistance
to bleeding and poison among other things,
perhaps due to the nature of espionage.

Upper Blighttown
- Enter Blighttown through the large door in the Depths after defeating the Gaping Dragon. Descend the ladders and wooden platforms to the first bonfire on the stone bridge.
- From that bonfire, climb back toward the upper platforms. At the ladder approach, use the adjacent lower landing rather than the narrow beam crossing.
- Take the ladder on that branch up to the corpse holding the full Shadow outfit. Return toward the stone bridge instead of dropping blindly into the swamp.
Notes
- Weight and poise: Equips on the head, weighs 0.9 and provides 0 poise. This piece does not help you withstand hits without staggering.
- Physical protection: Provides 9 normal physical defense at base reinforcement. Its strongest physical protection at this level is against strike damage. Different attack types use different physical defenses.
- Protection: At base reinforcement, its elemental defense is 5 magic, 6 fire, 6 lightning. Fire and lightning is its strongest elemental defense at this level. Defense values are not percentages of incoming damage blocked.
- Status resistance: Adds 15 bleed, 18 poison and 0 curse resistance at base reinforcement. These help resist buildup; they do not cure an existing status.
- Reinforcement: Reinforce to +5 with Twinkling Titanite. Reinforcement improves defenses and resistances without changing weight, poise or maximum durability. Armor does not use weapon embers or elemental conversion paths.
- Earlier section: This pickup is above the swamp and near the upper bonfire. Entering by the Valley of Drakes waterwheel takes you to the opposite side of Blighttown.
- Ninja appearance: The outfit does not give the Dark Wood Grain Ring's altered roll. That ring is a separate item.
